Doors & Door Frames
Approximately 15 hours of instruction can
be completed over three months. Passing of one exam is required to receive an
electronic certificate of completion.
This
module provides an overview of interior and exterior
doors and door frames.
It discusses issues regarding the manufacturing of door
frames, how sizes are
determined, the materials used, shipping, and distribution
issues. The many types
of doors and the construction of each type are illustrated.
Students learn the terms
used to describe doors, the parts of doors, how doors
are constructed,
and their application, storage, and selection criteria.
These shorter modules include sections
from the Millwork Home Study Course.
Designed for those who want to focus on a subset of the
material or who
find it difficult to commit to several months of study
for the complete
Millwork course.
While 3 months are provided, each of the Millwork Series
modules can
easily be completed within 10 to 15 hours of study-at
a two day seminar
or within just one weekend! Each module comes complete
with a soft
cover book containing one or two chapters from the Millwork
Principles
and Practices textbook, a lesson study qulde, and a CD.
The CD contains an
introductory video clip, interactive presentations, a
glossary for the lesson,
crossword puzzle, and a computer graded practice quiz.
An online exam is
provided to receive a certificate of completion.
